Project Overview
Project Mixbook is a budgetary, dietary and exploratory food app. The app shuffles recipes based on fridge contents and listed dietary restrictions or preferences with randomization i.e. Pandora’s music genius and Spotify's playlist function for recipes that are favorited
Presents meal recipes in a swipe able card format.

Budget features include shopping lists based on what food you want to eat, ingredient freshness tracker, using oldest ingredients first in calculating recipes.

The core idea behind the product is to increase budget efficiency with grocery and cooking.
My Contributions
Initial product premise, Ideation, white board and paper prototypes, ux boards, ui style boards and developer hand off.
Challenge
Design a recipe app and website that utilizes ingredients already on hand, combined with dietary preferences/restrictions to create interesting and delicious food all while increasing budget efficiency in shopping and cooking.
solution
Create recipe selections in a swipeable card format. Include budget management features, dietary choice selection along with customizable shopping lists, an ingredient freshness tracker (which uses oldest to newest ingredients first) and a wide selection of recipes.

Responsible for all elements of the online user experience optimized for usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design. Furthermore, responsible for adaptive and creative solutions to project problems using best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.
Process
Ideation, whiteboards, sticky notes, user journeys and personas, conducting user research and assessing the needs of a variety of users from food restricted, to food and cooking challenged to creat an inclusive solution to meal planning, budgeting, shopping and of course, cooking delicious meals.
